At the first YWCA New Mexico Women in Leadership Breakfast, Xeturah Woodley gave a talk that connected with me completely (you can read her speech here). She talked about learning about feminism and loving it, but it not being enough and then learning about womanism and finding her place. Sitting in that room, listening to her speak, surrounded by other vibrant and inspiring women I was feeling understood.
Each Women in Leadership Breakfast after that has been a similar experience. It is a networking event full of women who are passionate and engaged with the YWCA mission. A time for networking with each other and sharing the celebration of Women’s History Month. I hope you will join us this year.
The YWCA New Mexico celebrates Women’s History Month with our 4th Annual Women in Leadership Breakfast.
Join us for this free event for women to network and build leadership.
